LAS VEGAS,NV--HOOTER'S CASINO & HOTEL


    The Las Vegas strip, Sin City as they call it. The Vegas nightlife is famous for the bright lights & entertainment. People at times would make plans to make a trip out here in the West to try there luck, take chances with the kids college money to strike it big.Others that would come here would seek adventure,to get away from the hustle & bustle of the 9-5 life.

   A lot of this adventure is going on right now at Hooter's Casino & Hotel. Many people know that Hooter's is famous for it's buffalo wings & attractive hostesses,but here at this casino you get more than you bargained for,a full restaurant & a huge bar that is bigger than the average one you see at the local restaurants. A couple of months ago, McAlister Ricard,the retired CEO of Angel Falls' Ricard Enterprises, chipped in $250 million towards a complete renovation of the casino,which expanded it's space & added 2 floors of luxury suites. Also that renovation included increases in employees pay & also paid training for employees who are wanting to advance to a different career. Cherelle Baptiste,who at one time was a shift manager here at this casino & is now a pit boss because she took advantage of an opportunity that was offered to her. She works the weekend shift from 12am-8am & not to mention that she is currently going to school taking a class in network administration.She figured she have something to fall back on in case the pit boss thing doesn't work. She was called in to come 3 hours early on this particular Saturday because lately the casino has been hit with cheaters pretty hard. At one point before the renovation,the casino was hit for almost $1 million because of 2 hard to catch let alone detectable cheats that have been getting away with it for years until now.....

  Arnold Holliman,the casino manager who oversees the shift & pit bosses,is a stocky man who looks to be around his mid 50's,calls forth the meeting the address the situation..

 "Okay everyone.I hate that I have to break people's naps or whatever you guys were doing at home & I do apologize,but this cheaters situation is a s serious as I thought. Several years ago before the renovation,this casino got hit up for a $1 million dollars & these guys have been coming in undetected & leaving out of here undetected. Well as of tonight,that shit ends-excuse my language-Thanks to Lenard Ricard's ,the grandson of McAlister generosity,he has installed some detection equipment that will allow to catch these bastards & have them blackballed from any casino in the US,whether it's in Tunica,Mississippi or Wetumpka,Alabama,these SOB's will never set foot nowhere else."

Charles Carlton the shift boss begins to speak, "Well Arnie how do we know this equipment is going to work?"

" I'm glad that you asked Charlie" Arnold pulls out what looks to be a remote but in actuality,it's a holographic projector that goes over everything in detail.

"There are hidden motion sensors inside the doorframes.When someone walks in,they will be detected for any types of devices like wiretaps or whatever.Plus it will also send an alert to security letting them know who to watch on the camera & then the shift & pit bosses will get a visual alert as well. I'll admit I'm not a fan of all these hot gadgets nowadays,but I gotta tell ya Lenard Ricard has made me a fan."  All while this is going on Cherelle reads a dossier on Lenard Ricard & found something very surprising...

 "Hmmmm he took over Ricard Enterprises while he was STILL in college,why not his father taking over?"

"Well McAlister told me that Darnell tried to screw him over & it almost put the company in jeopardy,had it not been for the Iraqis warning him ahead of time,we wouldn't have thee technological marvels today. Darnell is still pissed to this day about that. To carry a grudge for so long towards your own flesh & blood because you want to be greedy? That's not good at all. Ok people let's rock & roll because it's gonna be a long night."

The meeting is over & done with as everyone ranging from the dealers to all the bosses & managers get ready to work their shift. Hours later, Cherelle is walking around checking over her section to make sure everyone is ok. So far so good she says to herself as the cheaters haven't made their way inside the casino. After a couple of hours of being on her feet,Cherelle decides to take a break by going over to the Hooter's restaurant & is greeted by one of the hostesses she knew named Kelsey..

 "Hey Cherelle,long day huh?"
 "Girl yessssss. All this walking around & everything will wear you out!!!"
"I hear you,As you can tell business over here is booming as always especially when these old war veterans come every now & then shoot the shit about the good times. I wish I could stay all day & listen to these stories because they are some good ones."
" I could use me a quick hour power nap right about now.Good thing about me being a pit boss is that I could get a room & crash here instead of driving around 1/2 dead when I get off."

As Cherelle is about to ask Kelsey something,a small commotion is going on.Several people gather around as if someone has hit the jackpot,but that's not the case. A young African American male who appears to be in his 20's,walks into the casino as shift bosses, even gamers walked up to him,shaking his hand & asking for his autograph even making small talk with some of the hostesses walking by with drinks.

"Hey Kelsey who is that just walked in?"
Kelsey looks up & says
"That's McAlister Ricard's grandson,Lenard Ricard."
"Really?"
"Yeah he's the one that invented all this good stuff here in the casino.I've talked to him a couple of times,he's a cool guy unlike his dad."

Cherelle looks at him from a distance as he proceeds to walk to the gaming area & an immediate thought comes to mind

(Lenard Ricard huh? Maybe I should go introduce myself to him)
